Olga Gorbanovskaya was promoted to partner in the tax and legal practice of Ernst & Young Ukraine. Olga heads the human capital group and specializes in a wide range of human capital services - from development and implementation of corporate human resources strategies to payroll advisory and individual cross-border tax planning. Olga joined Ernst & Young in 2002. Before that she worked for Arthur Andersen in 1998-2002. In her more than 10 years of work in professional services, Olga has advised a number of leading Ukrainian companies as well as foreign companies operating in Ukraine. Olga holds an MA in economics from Kyiv International Civil Aviation University (1996), an MA in law from the National Taras Shevchenko University (2002), and a Ph.D. in economics. Olga is a certified public accountant (US) and a member of AICPA since 2003. She is a successful business tutor with experience teaching at foreign universities and leading Ukrainian business schools.

Oksana Yakuga joined Acumen Outsourcing LLC, one of the leading professional employer organizations, to fill the position of senior project manager. In her new post, Yakuga will be responsible for the business development and current project coordination. Before this, Yakuga worked as key account manager for First Lease Ltd./ALD Automotive, where she directed the sales of vehicle leasing services and international cross-selling coordination. Yakuga graduated from Kyiv National University of Economics with a master's degree in legal regulation.

Eugene Cherviachenko joined Galt & Taggart Securities as head of new business development. He has a four-year experience working for Concorde Capital as a senior analyst covering a wide sector base, including the metals, mining and heavy machinery sectors. Cherviachenko was voted third best metals & mining research analyst in Thomson Reuters Extel's 2009 Focus CIS Survey. He provided research support to the investment banking and merchant banking divisions at Concorde Capital. He participated in private placements of Ukrainian companies and provided consultancy services. Cerviachenko received his master's degree in finance from Kyiv National Economic University.

Denis Solomin was appointed director of sales to the oil and gas sector for Interpipe, a leading global producer of steel pipes and railway wheels. Before joining Interpipe, Solomin held executive positions at LUKOI, a Russian oil and gas company, in its foreign offices in Romania and Bulgaria. He also worked at Nafta Belgium. Solomin started his professional career at the U.S.-based company Occidental Petroleum. He graduated from the Gubkina Oil and Gas Academy in Russia with a degree in the development of oil and gas fields. He also has degrees in business - law and management from South Alberta Institute of Technology in Canada.

Antonina Yaholnyk
was appointed head of the competition practice group at the Kyiv office of Baker & McKenzie law firm. A partner at Baker & McKenzie, she joined the firm as an associate and has extensive experience in assisting a number of multinational  companies in procuring Ukrainian merger control approvals in connection with their cross-border acquisitions.  Yaholnyk was named "Best Competition Lawyer of the Year 2009 in Ukraine" by World Finance Publication and co-authored a textbook in Ukrainian on international trade law. Yaholnyk obtained a bachelor's degree in law from Lviv National University and a master's in international law and economics from the World Trade Institute in Switzerland.

Ruslan Drobyazko was promoted to head of the intellectual property practice group at the Kyiv office of Baker & McKenzie. A partner, Drobyazko joined the firm as an associate. He will now specialize in providing legal advice on structuring transactions related to intellectual property and information technologies, securing the intellectual property rights of clients in Ukraine and protecting clients against unfair business practices. He has also undertaken a considerable amount of trade mark advisory and advertising work. Drobyazko graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University with a degree in international law.

Sven Henniger,
director of Ukraine Consulting, an international business advisory, has been appointed director of the group's new office in Minsk, called Belarus Consulting. In his new position, Henniger will combine the functions of director in Ukraine and Belarus, ensuring success of the group's business in both countries. During last few years, Henniger has supervised a wide range of restructuring and consulting projects in the West and CIS countries. He headed the German publishing company Verlag Dashofer in Moscow. Henniger graduated from Humboldt University in Berlin with a degree in economics.
